More socks and other stuff
I finished the navy and white zebra socks - made with Sprint superwash sock yarn. They'll be finding a home soon (won't say where, since that person may look at the blog). At least, they will as soon as I have a moment to find an envelope, address said envelope and stick some postage on it. The way things are going it may be April before that happens.
I'm on the foot of sock #1 of my Socks that Rock socks (color Spinel). And those knitting needles? A gift to myself a while back - a full set of Harmony 6" dpns from KnitPicks. These are so nice! The warm feeling of wood, but slicker than my Brittany Birchs. They are laminated birch (very pretty, too!).
And looky at my new musical instruments....
That's a concert (alto) ukelele and a Horner Melodica. The melodica was a Christmas gift from my parents and the ukelele was a birthday gift from my parents. (We love strange and unusual musical instruments in our family.)
I'm actually pretty decent on both of them so far, even though I've never had an instrument with a keyboard or an instrument that involved chords. They live on the couch, so I can pick either one of them up and play them whenever I have a moment - which isn't often right now.
I think Mom and Dad got the idea when they saw Gugug on YouTube. Or you can watch the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain - both of them are great.
